Reading Reaction #4

Dear Students,
As the course comes to an end, I would like to answer these questions about the last reading:
1. Why did you select that particular reading?
2. If you could apply something from the reading to your work as a teacher, what would it be and why?
3. Of all the readings which one did you enjoy the most, and why?

I would be uploading the content and some handouts, as well as the portfolio instructions.  It is important for you to have the final reflection typed before coming to class.  If you have any question, please don't hesitate to write me an email at evaramos28@hotmail.com.

See you in class,
Prof. Eva

Reading Reaction #3

Hello Dear Students,
As the course is coming to an end, I would like you to reflect on one of the two last readings.  Select the one that you considered it was most interesting and answer the following questions:
1.  Why is it the most interesting reading of the two final readings?
2.  Did you learn something new?  What was it?
3.  Write something from the article that you would like to share with other teachers.

That's all for now,
Prof. Eva

Reading Reaction #2

Hello There!
Oops, I am sorry that I forgot to post this entry in order for you to write your reading reaction.   You can use one or two of the following triggers to write it:

  1. My initial reaction/impression to this article was…
  2. Something I want to remember from this article was…
  3. Something I learned from this article and that every teacher should know was…
  4. Something I learned  and that I immediately wanted to share with a colleague was…
  5. Some questions I still have are…

Remember you only need to react to the article and write your own impressions, rather than writing a summary from the reading.

Regards,
Prof. Eva

    Reading Blog #1

    Hello There!
As I was about to begin this new post, I was wondering which article you have selected as your first reading.   So as the articles may be different, it would be hard for me to ask specific questions.  For that reason, I decided to write some prompts that may help you write something about the article that you selected.  Write the title of the chapter/reading you selected, and feel free to use one or more of the prompts to write ideas about what you read.

    1. Select a part from your reading that you liked. What made you pick it? How does it make you pause and think?
    2. What are the two most important ideas from what you read?
    3. What has been the most interesting part of your reading?
    4. What is something you’ve learned from your reading?
    5. What was going through your mind as you read?
    Well, that's all for now.

    See you in class
